Prof. Zhongyuan Hu is an Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor. He is currently working at the Department of Horticulture, College of Agriculture and Biotechnology, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. He received his B.S. from the Department of Horticulture, College of Agriculture and Biotechnology, Zhejiang University; and his M.S. and Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences, The University of Tokyo. He was a Postdoc at the Graduate School of Bioagricultural Sciences, Nagoya University. His research interests mainly include vegetable germplasm innovation and molecular breeding. He teaches undergraduate courses in “General Horticulture Science”, “Introduction to Modern Horticulture”, “Frontier in Horticultural Science and Technology”, and “Horticulture and Human”, as well as graduate courses in “Advanced Vegetable Breeding” and “Plant Cell Engineering”.
