Author Biographies

Gry Mørk is a senior lecturer in Occupational Therapy at the Faculty of Health Sciences at VID Specialized University in Stavanger, Norway. Her research interest is teaching and learning in higher education. She has experience from educational research with healthcare students, especially related to approaches to studying and learning environments, and how these factors contribute to shape academic outcomes among students. She also conducts research on how students perceive different learning activities, including different types of simulation.
Astrid Gramstad graduated from the Arctic University of Norway (UiT) and received her M.Sc. and Ph.D. in health science. She is now Vice Dean of Education at the Faculty of Health Science and an associate professor of the Department of Health and Care Sciences at the same university. Before her current role, she was Editor-in-Chief (Omsorgsbiblioteket) at the NTNU Institut for helsevitenskap in 2018–2021. Her research interests are community-based rehabilitation, assistive technology device provision and use, and the health and everyday life of older individuals.

Susanne Grødem Johnson, an occupational therapist, has an MSc in evidence-based practice (defending her Ph.D. thesis in 2024). The topic of her Ph.D. is the use of a mobile application (app) to teach evidence-based practice to healthcare and social care students, which includes a multi-method approach. Usability testing of the developed mobile app has been an essential part of the research, including broadening our understanding of usability methods and attributes relevant to usability studies of mobile apps for healthcare education.
Tore Bonsaksen is Professor in Mental Health at the Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences and Professor II at the VID Specialized University. He is an occupational therapist with extensive experience in hospital-based mental health services (1997-2010) and in research on higher education (2010-). He received his B.Sc. in Occupational Therapy at the Sør-Trøndelag University College (HiST) and M.Sc. in Clinical Health Care at the University of South-Eastern Norway. Before his current appointment, he was Professor at the Oslo Metropolitan University. He is involved in research on mental health, public health, and students' learning and development.
