Dr. Mariana Pilon is now a Medical Advisor (MDA) in Clinical Trials at Sanofi Brazil. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Taubate (UNITAU) in 2015; she is a Postgraduate in Internal Medicine at the Hospital Beneficencia Portuguesa de Sao Paulo in 2018 and Medical Oncology at the Instituto Brasileiro de Controle do Cancer de Sao Paulo in 2021. In 2022, she moved to Montreal, Quebec Canada to do a Clinical Research Oncology Fellowship affiliated with McGill University at the Jewish General Hospital, which was concluded in January 2024. She is now pursuing a course in Principles and Practice of Clinical Research Program (PPCR) at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Executive and Continuing Professional Education. She worked as a Medical audit in a healthcare insurance company at Notre Dame Intermedia in Sao Paulo, Brazil (2017-2021). In 2021, she also worked as a Medical Oncologist (Staff) at Instituto Brasileiro do Controle do Cancer – IBCC, Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Instituto do Cancer do Estado de Sao Paulo – ICESP, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Her research topics mainly include Immuno-Oncology and Immune-mediated adverse events.
Dr. Steph A. Pang graduated with a Doctor of Medicine, Master of Surgery degree from McGill University in 2019. Subsequently, Dr. Pang completed residency training in Internal Medicine (2019-2022) and in Medical Oncology (2022-2024), also at McGill University. Dr. Pang's clinical interests and research endeavors focus on early-phase clinical trials, melanoma and other skin cancers, renal cell carcinoma, and immuno-oncology. Dr. Pang is part of the Montreal Immune-Related Adverse Events research group, a multidisciplinary group of physicians and basic scientists who study predictive biomarkers of immune-related adverse events, their causes, and the design of effective management strategies.
Dr. Marcos A. Magalhes is a Clinical Oncologist who graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of ABC (FMABC). He served as a Clinical Oncologist at Santa Casa de Misericórdia de São Paulo, and the Brazilian Institute of Cancer Control (IBCC) in 2020 and preceptor of the Clinical Oncology Residency at the Faculty of Medicine of ABC (FMABC) during the same period, and as a Clinical Research Fellow in drug development at Princess Margaret Cancer Center (Toronto, Canada) in 2021. Dr. Marcos A. Magalhes obtained his Master's degree in Health Sciences from Faculdade de Medicina do ABC in 2022. Currently, Clinical Oncologist at Beneficência Portuguesa de São Paulo (BP) in the group of Lung cancer and Head and Neck Tumors. He was awarded the Prêmio Eric Wroclawski 2022.
