Aleksandra Ivanovska produced her doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy University of Belgrade in 2020. Currently, she is employed as a research associate at the Innovation Center of the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in Belgrade, Serbia. Ivanovska has been involved in two national projects and two international projects. Currently, she is the principal investigator of a national project titled "Proposing a novel circular economy solution for discarded jute fabrics: From waste to adsorbents for various pollutants and valorization of pollutant-saturated fabrics as supercapacitors - Circular-JuteWaste," funded by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia. Additionally, she leads the work package of another national project. According to the indicators of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia, she has been ranked as the best research associate in the Republic of Serbia. Aleksandra Ivanovska is the second most important contributor to the prestigious 40th position of the University of Belgrade in the Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (field: textile science and engineering). In April 2024, she was awarded the prize for the best scientific work among young scientists at the University of Belgrade due to receiving support from the Đoke Vlajkovića Endowment.
