Litao Sun received his Ph.D. degree from the Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai, China, in 2005. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Mainz, Mainz, Germany, and a Visiting Professorship at the University of Strasbourg, Strasbourg, France. He is currently a Distinguished Professor and Vice President at Southeast University, Nanjing, China. His current research interests include in situ experimentation inside the electron microscope, graphene and related 2-D materials, new phenomena from sub-10-nm nanoparticles, and applications of nanomaterials in the environment, energy, and nanoelectromechanical systems.
