Prof. Dr. Yong Li is currently the director of the Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Remote
Sensing and Geographic Information System Applications and the director of the
Guangdong Provincial Geospatial Intelligent Engineering Technology Research Center.
He concurrently serves as the deputy chairman of the UAV Application and
Control Working Committee of the China Geographic Information Industry
Association, a director of the China Satellite Navigation and Positioning
Association, and the deputy secretary-general of the Guangdong Geographic
Information Standardization Technical Committee. His main research directions
include UAV low-altitude remote sensing technology, geospatial data mining, and
geographic information standardization. In the past five years, he has presided
over and participated in more than 20 provincial and ministerial projects,
published more than 30 papers, obtained more than 10 authorized invention
patents, and presided over and participated in the formulation of more than 20
local standards. He has won eight provincial and ministerial science and technology
progress awards as well as science and technology progress awards from
societies and industry associations.
