Juan S. Jiménez received his PhD from the University of Granada, Spain, and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel. He has been Full Professor of Physical Chemistry at the University Autónoma de Madrid, where he has taught Physical Biochemistry for more than 30 years. At present, he is Emeritus Professor at the same university. His research and teaching activity has focused on the last years in the use of surface plasmon resonance to follow the kinetics and thermodynamics of protein–ligand interactions, including proteins and peptides related with Alzheimer’s disease: the interaction of amyloid peptides with DNA, the thermodynamic study of the Tau Protein with DNA or the interaction of a peptide substrate with the Protein Kinase CK2. He is the author of BIOCHEMICAL THERMODYNAMICS. (Ed. Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2020) ISBN (13):978-1-5275-5359-0. 319.
