Prof. Dr. Yunhai Ma is a Professor at the College of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Jilin University, China. At the same time, he is also the deputy dean of the School of Biology and Agricultural Engineering of Jilin University and the deputy director of the Jilin Provincial Key Laboratory of Engineering Bionics. He received his master's degree from Jilin University of Technology in 1998 and his PhD from Jilin University in 2002. From September 2009 to July 2010, he went to the Department of Life and Environmental Sciences, Chiba Institute of Technology, Japan as a visiting researcher to conduct collaborative research on bionic materials. He is a Changbaishan Scholar Distinguished Professor. He is a founding member of the International Society for Bionic Engineering (ISBE) and a committee member and deputy secretary-general of the Chinese Agricultural Machinery Society.
