Prof. Adélia N. Nunes is an Associate Professor at the Department of Geography and Tourism of Coimbra University and an integrated member of the Centre of Studies of Geography and Spatial Planning (CEGOT). She earned her BS in Geography in 1994, MS in Physical Geography and Environmental Studies in 2001, and Ph.D. in Geography in 2007, all from the University of Coimbra. Currently, her main research interests are focused on the analysis of land use/cover changes at the landscape level and their impacts on ecosystem services, mainly in soil (soil carbon and soil erosion) and water services. The analysis of wildfire hazards and vulnerability, particularly in the wildland–urban interface, are other topics of her research.
