Kamil Biringer is the Deputy Head of the JLF UK Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic for Pedagogy and LPS. He completed his studies in general medicine at the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine, Charles University. He received the FMF Certificate of Competence in the 11–14 Weeks Scan, Olomouc, CR, the FMF Certificate of Competence in the 20–22 Weeks Scan, Olomouc, Czech Republic, and the Certificate of Attendance in Basic Fetal Echocardiography, Olomouc, CR, in 2012. His expertise is in platelet aggregometry, platelet aggregation and obstetrics.
Jan Staško is an Associate Professor at the Department of Hematology, University Hospital Martin, Jessenius Faculty of Medicine in Martin of the Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine Degree in 1982 and his Philosophy Doctor Degree in 1999 from the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University, Martin, Slovakia. He previously worked as a Fellow in the Department of the Internal Clinic, University Hospital, Martin, Slovakia, from 1982 to 1986; a Resident at the Hemodialysis Unit, University Hospital, Martin, Slovakia, from 1986 to1994; and as an Assistant at the Research Institute of Blood Diseases, Paris, France, from 1994 to 1995. His current research interest is in genetic polymorphisms associated with thrombophilia, as well as endothelial and platelet dysfunction.
Juraj Sokol, MD, is a hematologist at Jessenius Faculty of Medicine in Martin, Comenius University in Bratislava. He graduated from the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University in Slovakia, where he attended his undergraduate studies. He trained at the Martin University Hospital at the Department of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine. Afterward, he completed a fellowship at Leiden University Medical Center and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During these years, he worked on the following topics: platelet aggregation in patients with Sticky Platelet Syndrome, measurement of blood coagulation factors in women with a history of fetal loss, changes in hemostasis in multiple myeloma, genetic polymorphisms in patients with platelet hyperaggregability, antithrombin deficiency and statistical analysis of large data sets.
