Prof. Dr. Xiaobing Zhou is a professor
at Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of
Sciences (CAS). Before that, he was an assistant engineer at the Hefei
Institute of Physical Science, CAS. In addition, he serves as a
director of the Nuclear Materials Branch of the Chinese Nuclear Society, the Welding Society of the Zhejiang Mechanical Engineering Society,
and the Youth Working Committee of the Special Ceramics Branch of the Chinese
Silicate Society. He completed his PhD studies major in Materials Science and
Engineering at Yeungnam University from 2015 to 2017. He has received three
awards, China Central
and Eastern European Countries Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition,
First Prize, and Spriggs Phase Equilibria Award and Excellent Natural Science
Thesis in Ningbo City, Third Prize. His research Interests include the fabrication
and application development of rare earth ternary layered ceramics and ceramic matrix composite sintering and joining technology investigation. And
He has published more than 60 peer-reviewed journal papers and has 60 Chinese
patents and 6 PCT patents.
