Prof. Dr. Elizabeth Ferreira Martinez graduated from the University of São Paulo School of Dentistry in 1999. She received her Master’s degree in Oral Pathology and completed her PhD studies in Sciences (Cell and Tissue Biology) at the University of São Paulo. Afterward, she completed her postdoctoral training at the São Leopoldo Mandic Research Institute. Currently, she holds an academic position at the level of associate professor at the Division of Cellular and Molecular Biology at the São Leopoldo Mandic Research Institute, teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses. Recently, she completed a one-year visiting professorship at the University of Florida (College of Dentistry), assessing the impact of microgravity on stem cells. Since 2017, she has received a Research Productivity Fellowship from the Brazilian Federal Government.
