Prof. Dr. Fuchun Li works at the School of Resources and Environmental Sciences of Nanjing Agricultural University as a Professor. He graduated from the Department of Geology of the Central South University of Technology (now the Central South University) in 1987 with a bachelor's degree in engineering; in 1990, he graduated from the Department of Applied Chemistry of Chengdu Institute of Geology (now Central South University of Technology) with a master of science degree; in 2000, he graduated from Nanjing University with a bachelor's degree in Earth science and from the Department of Science with a PhD in Science. From 2000 to 2002, he studied and worked at the Postdoctoral Mobile Station on Agricultural Resource Utilization, School of Resources and Environmental Sciences, Nanjing Agricultural University. From 2002 to 2003, he served as a visiting scholar (sponsored by the state) at the Department of Geology, National University of Kyiv, Ukraine. His research interests include mineral weathering involving microorganisms, biomineralization involving microorganisms, geochemistry of loess-paleosoil, and adsorption and desorption of clay minerals and heavy metals.
