Author Biographies

Ivan Panov is a PhD candidate at the Drone laboratory, Department of Business Development and Technology, at Aarhus University in Herning, Denmark. Prior to his current position, Ivan earned a cum-laude MSc diploma in Flight Aerodynamics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and an MBA diploma from the Open University (UK). Ivan is an active member of the European network of U-space stakeholders under the supervision of Eurocontrol. Throughout his career, Ivan represented the research aerospace institute TsAGI in several cross-European projects, including Future Sky Safety, Optics, and HAIC. With more than 15 years of experience working in the aviation industry, Ivan has gained a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field. His experience includes working at TsAGI, where he worked as the head of UAV certification.
Asim Ul Haq a Graduate Student Member, IEEE, received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Islamabad, Pakistan, in 2013 and 2019, respectively. He is currently an MSCA fellow pursuing a PhD at the Department of Business Development and Technology, Aarhus University, Denmark. Since 2013, He has served as a research assistant, lab engineer, and junior lecturer with the University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar, Pakistan; University of Technology Nowshera, Pakistan; and Abasyn University Islamabad, Pakistan. He also served ERISP Private Limited and Nokia Solutions and Networks in Pakistan as a System Administrator and Operation Support Service Engineer from 2014 to 2016 and 2021 and 2022, respectively. His research interests include channel estimation and characterization, information theory and physical layer security, optimization, and non-terrestrial wireless communication networks.
