Alessio Aghemo is a Full Professor and Head of the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the Universidad Humanitas. He is also a Head of the Centre for the Study and Treatment of Metabolic Liver Diseases and Complications of Cirrhosis at Humanitas Research Hospital and a Vice President of the Medical School at Humanitas University. He obtained a Degree in Medicine at the
Università degli Studi di Milano in 2001. He received a PhD in Gastroenterology
at the Università degli Studi di Milano in 2008. He was an Associate Professor
of Gastroenterology at the Humanitas University, Milano, from 2017 to 2021. He
is a member of the Scientific Committee European Association for the Study of
the Liver, the Scientific Committee United European Gastroenterology
Association, and the Scientific Committee Italian Association for the Study of
the Liver. He was a Secretary General at the Italian Association for the Study
of the Liver.
