Dr. Richard A. Proctor is currently a Professor Emeritus of Medicine and Medical Microbiology & Immunology at the School of Medicine and Public Health, University of Wisconsin–Madison, Madison, WI, USA. He received his medical degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA in 1970. From 1970 to 1971, he worked as an intern at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. From 1974 to 1976, he completed an internal medicine residency at Georgetown University, Washington, DC, USA. Then, from 1976 to 1978, he worked as an infectious diseases post-doctoral fellow at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His research interests include Staphylococcus aureus, sepsis, metabolism, bacterial signalling, persistent infections, SCVs and staphylococcal vaccines.
Prof. Warren E. Rose is a faculty member in the School of Pharmacy, Pharmacy Practice and Translational Research Division. He also has an adjunct affiliate faculty appointment in the Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases. He holds clinical appointments within the Departments of Pharmacy at UW Health in Madison. He is a fellow of both the Infectious Diseases Society of America and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. His research interests include antimicrobial pharmacology, resistance, and host–pathogen interactions.
