Dr. Lan Xie is an Associate Professor at the School of Medicine, Tsinghua University. She obtained her M.D. from the Peking University Health Science Center in 2005, her Joint Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego in 2009, and her Ph.D. from the School of Medicine, Tsinghua University in 2011. She was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Medicine, Tsinghua University from 2011 to 2014 and became a Lecturer in 2014. She has been an Associate Professor since 2019. Dr. Xie’s research interests include the application of high-throughput technologies including microarrays, microfluidic devices, and NGS in disease diagnosis and drug development. She and her team have established the signature gene expression profiles of more than 600 crude extracts of traditional Chinese medicines, more than 3000 crude extracts of natural plants, and more than 2000 compounds using second-generation sequencing technology, and have applied for more than 40 patents at home and abroad.
