Author Biographies

Dr. Chitat Chan received his Bachelor's degree in Social Work and a Diploma in Theatre Studies from Hong Kong, followed by an MPhil, also in Hong Kong. He then earned his PhD from the UCL Institute of Education. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Social Work at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). Dr. Chan's research and teaching focus on identity construction, narrative practices, and digital technology. His career has included significant research projects funded by the Research Grants Council of the UGC and various large charity foundations. These projects have included a digital storytelling project exploring the diverse identities of Hongkongers, a civic education program aimed at developing open-mindedness and social inclusiveness, and the human libraries hub project that addresses social prejudices.
