Prof. Dr. Nan Zhao is a professor at the School of Information and Communication Engineering, at Dalian University of Technology. He is also a young scholar of the "Changjiang Scholars Program" and has won the IEEE Communications Society Asia-Pacific Outstanding Young Scholar Award and the China Communications Society Youth Science and Technology Award. He has been ranked among the most cited scientists in the world for four consecutive years (2020–2023) and among the most cited scholars in China for four consecutive years (2020–2023). He graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology, where he obtained his master's and doctoral degrees. His research areas include artificial intelligence-assisted wireless network design, smart reflectors, communication–perception integration, drone communications and networks, and security and covert communications. He has presided over and participated in many national scientific research projects. He is an editorial board member of IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Wireless Communications, and IEEE Wireless Communications Letters and is the chief guest editor of the Chinese Journal of Aeronautics.
