Izabela Rusiecka is an accomplished academic and researcher affiliated with the Department of Pharmacology at the Medical University of Gdańsk(MUG), Poland. With a rich educational background and extensive professional experience, she has made significant contributions to the fields of pharmacology, biochemistry and toxicology.Dr. Rusiecka's academic journey began with her Master's studies in Biotechnology at the MUG(1996-2002). Since obtaining doctoral degree in 2009, Dr. Rusiecka has been actively engaged in research and academic life. Her professional career proceeded as follows: Assistant at the Department of Molecular Enzymology(2007-2008) and Assistant(2008-2011) and next Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmacology(2011- to present) at the MUG. She is a member of Polish Pharmacological Society. Her research interests focus on the design of new drugs with enhanced properties. She participated in various conferences, training programs, and internships abroad(University of Bremen 2003-2004, University of Malta 2018). Her work has been recognized and awarded. She obtained multiple Rector's Awards for scientific and didactic achievements(2011,2012,2013,2014,2015,2016,2023,2024) as well as a reward of Polish Biochemical Society(2006). Furthermore, she also received the Ist place in the International Competition for the best fluorescence microscopy photography(2008). Dr. Rusiecka is also an author of the patent.
