Dr. Athanasios Kotrotsos is a Senior Research Associate in the Applied Mechanics and Vibrations Laboratory at the University of Patras. He obtained his Bachelor of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering in Applied Mechanics, his Interdepartmental Master of Science qualified at “Science and Technology of Polymers”, his Ph.D. in the Development of Self-healing Techniques for Fiber- Reinforced Composites, and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Patras in 2008, 2011, and 2017, respectively. He has been working at the Applied Mechanics and Vibrations Laboratory since May 2017. His research interests include polymers, polymer composites, nanotechnology, manufacturing, smart materials, self-healing materials, advanced materials, electrospinning, nondestructive inspection techniques, mechanical characterization of materials, thermal characterization of materials, and electrical characterization of materials.
