Associate Professor Zhiqiang Xie is an assistant to the Dean of the Faculty of Civil and Transport Engineering. He completed his PhD studies in Civil Engineering at the Beijing University of Technology, and has been awarded the special prize of science and technology of China Steel Structure Association, the first prize of science and technology award of China Railway Construction Corporation Limited and other four provincial and ministerial awards. He has published 40 papers in various journals and serves as a reviewer of Engineering Structure, Thin-Walled Structure, Journal of Constructional Steel Research, Journal of Building Structures, Engineering Mechanics, Industrial Architecture and other journals. His teaching disciplines include basic principle and design of steel structures and design principle of concrete structures, and his interests include system innovation and design theory of modular assembled cold-formed thin-walled steel structures; new connection and design method of cold-formed thin-walled steel structures; design technology of prefabricated multi-story steel structure building systems; innovation and key technologies of assembled lightweight steel-lightweight concrete composite shear wall systems; innovation and key technologies of assembled lightweight steel-lightweight concrete composite shear wall systems.
