Author Biographies

Dr. Xuening Fang is an Assistant Professor at the School of Environmental and Geographical Sciences, Shanghai Normal University. From September 2017 to September 2018, he studied Sustainability Science and Landscape Ecology as a Visiting Scholar at the School of Global Sustainability Studies at Arizona State University, and he completed his PhD studies in Natural Resources at Beijing Normal University in 2020. He is a recipient of the Youth Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), an expert in the correspondence evaluation of the NSFC, and a winner of the Third Prize of National Teaching Achievements (ranked fourth). His research interests include urban sustainability, urban ecosystem services, green spaces, NBS, green infrastructure, urban ecology, and landscape sustainability.
Dr. Lingqiang Kong focuses on land use/cover change and urban/landscape sustainability research at the Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics. He completed his PhD studies in Geography at Beijing Normal University in 2022. As of April 2023, he has published 16 academic papers in Landscape and Urban Planning, Journal of Cleaner Production, Ecological Indicators, and China Environmental Science, among which 14 papers are SCI/SSCI retrieved and 1 paper is EI retrieved. His research interests include Urban Ecology, Landscape Ecology, and Landscape Sustainability Science.
