Dr. Abdolmajid Mohammadian is a Professor at the Department
of Civil Engineering at the University of Ottawa (Canada) working on analyzing
environmental problems. He is a professional Civil Engineer (P.Eng.). He
obtained his Ph.D. degree from Laval University in the field of Applied
Mathematics and has research experience at M.I.T. with a focus on the numerical
simulation of hydrodynamic systems such as shallow water flows. His area of
research includes numerical simulation of water bodies and experimental and
numerical modeling of marine outfall systems. He is the current chair of the
IAHR-IWA Joint Committee on Marine Outfall Systems. His research interests
include computational fluid dynamics, desalination and industrial outfalls,
sediment transport modeling, and renewable energy.
