Dana Abu Omar received her PhD in education from the University of Derby in 2023, she works as an early years educational counsellor in the Department of Child Development and Learning Difficulties at Mati. Her research topics mainly include disability, learning difficulties, dyslexia, mental health, identity, social inclusion, consumerism, marketisation, and therapeutic culture.

Dr. Kirkman’s research interests focus on positive psychology, optimism, and wellbeing, including student wellbeing and embedding wellbeing into the curriculum. One of her projects was developing an online resource for postgraduate research students to support their wellbeing,learning and research. Additionally, she recently worked on a research project called Education for Mental Health. This project developed a national online toolkit for academic staff to help support university students’ well-being. The toolkit was designed to provide evidence-informed guidance on the ways in which

Charlotte Scott graduated with a BSc (Hons) in psychology from Loughborough University in 2015, which included a placement year at the Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College London (2013). She completed an MSc in psychology research methods in 2016 at the University of Surrey and a PhD in
psychology at Loughborough University in 2019. She joined the University of Derby as a lecturer in psychology in 2021, having previously worked as a teaching associate in psychology at the University of Nottingham. Her research focuses on eating behaviours, social influences, and the well-being of athletes.
Ivana Babicova is a lecturer and researcher in psychology at the Department of Psychology, Birmingham City University, UK. She completed her BSc (Hones) in psychology (2016) and PhD in health, psychology, and social care (2019) at the University of Derby. Her current research interests focus on dementia, pain assessment in people living with dementia, observational pain assessment
tools, mental health, wellbeing, and positive psychology.
Dr J Yoon Irons is an associate professor of arts for health and wellbeing at the University of Derby (https://www.derby.ac.uk/staff/yoon-irons/). For almost two decades, she has been conducting research to evaluate the benefits of music for people with long-term health conditions. She has also been undertaking research into social prescribing to promote health and wellbeing for diverse communities.
