Mehdi Moayyedian earned his PhD in mechanical engineering from the University of South Australia. He served as an assistant professor from 2017 to 2022, and subsequently advanced to the position of associate professor from 2022 to the present. In 2017, he transitioned to the American University of the Middle East, where he assumed the role of assistant professor. His research interests encompass mechanical engineering, with a focus on areas such as the injection molding process and optimization methods in engineering.
