Dr. Serafeim C. Chaintoutis is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the Diagnostic Laboratory/School of Veterinary Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), Greece, and completed his PhD in Microbiology-Immunology and Infectious Diseases (WNV evolutionary genetics, disease prevention, and diagnostics) at the same institution. He also holds an MSc in Infectious Diseases and International Medicine from the Democritus University of Thrace (DUTh). His main research interests focus on veterinary clinical microbiology and immunology, infectious diseases, and the validation of diagnostic assays.

Dr. Despoina N. Perrea is a Professor of “Experimental Pathobiochemistry” and a Head of LESSR at the Medical School, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. She graduated from the University of Patras School of Physics and Mathematics with a Chemistry degree and obtained her PhD from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her research interests include nutrition and Neurological Disorders.
Prof. Georgios Christodoulopoulos is a professor of Farm Animal Health at the Department of Animal Science of the Agricultural University of Athens. He has also worked as a professor at the University of Thessaly and the University of the United Arab Emirates. He holds a DVM and a Ph.D. in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Thessaloniki (Greece), a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Hohenheim (Stuttgart, Germany), a ‘Certificate in Sheep Health and Production’ from the RCVS (UK), and diplomas from the European Colleges of Cattle and Small Ruminant Health Management. He has conducted post-doctoral research as a Fulbright Scholar at Cornell University (USA) and served as a visiting researcher at Massey University (New Zealand) and the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Venice (Italy). He is an experienced scientist with a special interest in ruminant health and production.
Prof. Labrini Athanasiou is currently a Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Thessaly. She graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (SVM-AUTh), Greece, in 1993. At the same institution, she completed a one-year internship (1994) in the Clinic of Medicine and her PhD thesis (2004). After completing an MSc in Public Health at the National School of Public Health, she worked as a Manager in the Regulatory Affairs and the R&D department of the leading veterinary pharmaceutical company in Greece. Her research interests include clinical pathology, wildlife diseases, and animal health veterinary.
