Seoyeon Oh is working at the Korea Maritime Institute. She specialized in fisheries policies, focusing on aquaculture. She completed her doctoral program in Fisheries Management in 2020 at Pukyung National University. Seoyeon published a paper titled 'Untangling Jurisdictional Complexities for Crew Labour Regulations on Fishing Vessels in the Western and Central Pacific Ocean' in 2022.
