Adjunct Professor, Federal University of Pará—University Campus of Salinópolis, Pará, Brazil. Enrolled in Petroleum Exploration and Production Engineering and Coastal Ocean Engineering courses. Area research into recycled materials for the production of lightweight concrete, ceramic materials, polymers, and biopolymers.

Professor in the Department of Biosystems Engineering at FZEA-USP. Post-doctoral internship at the Universitat Politècnica de València, Valencia (Spain), from 07/2017 to 07/2018. PhD in Materials Science and Engineering (EESC/IFSC/IQSC-USP 2003, with sandwich at LNEC-Lisbon), Master in Architecture and Urbanism (EESC-USP 1999), and Civil Engineer (EESC-USP 1993). He was head of the Department of Biosystems Engineering at FZEA / USP from 11/2014 to 05/2017 and is currently Vice-Mayor of the Campus Fernando Costa de Pirassununga-SP (since 08/2018). Author of the book "Lightweight Structural Concrete: Production, microstructure properties and applications" (Editora PINI). He serves as a reviewer for several international journals, such as Cement and Concrete Research, Construction Building Materials, Computers and Concrete, and ACI Materials Journal. He is being accredited as a master's and doctoral advisor for the Postgraduate Program in Materials Engineering and Science (FZEA-USP). Leader of the CNPq research group - I-Mat (Innovation in Sustainable Materials) (dgp.cnpq.br/dgp/espelhogrupo/3023236600842340) and member of the BioSMat Research Support Center - Materials for Biosystems at USP since 2012. Works in the area of civil construction, with an emphasis on Special Concrete, Lightweight Concrete, Concrete Microstructure, Use of Agro-industrial By-products in Civil Construction, Circular Economy, and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) in Civil Construction.
