Rúben França Xavier holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from the Federal Institute of Goiás (IFG) and a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Goiás (UFG). He is currently working as a Technology Developer at the Research and Development Center in Telecommunications, focusing on the development of the C2n Network Core. He has experience in team management and software development. His research interests include the Internet of Things, Smart Cities, IoT middleware platforms, 5G, and multi-access edge computing (MEC).

Maria Ribeiro received a Ph.D. degree in computer science from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto (FCUP), Portugal, in 2023. She is a Researcher with Centro de Sistemas de Computação Avançada do Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores, Tecnologia e Ciência (CRACS-INESCTEC), Portugal. She is currently a Professor at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG). Her research interests include internet of things, data science, artificial intelligence, nonlinear analysis methods and digital health.
I hold a PhD degree (2014) in Telecommunications from Universidades do Minho, Aveiro and Porto, Portugal, with Master (2008) and Bachelor (2005) degrees in Computer Science from Universidade Federal do Pará and Universidade da Amazônia, Brazil. Currently, I am President of the Scientific Board of Fraunhofer Portugal and Senior Project Manager, Senior Scientist and Innovation Lead for Digital Farming at Fraunhofer Portugal Research Center for Assistive Information and Communication Solutions (FhP-AICOS). My work, research interests, and publications are in the fields of wireless adhoc, mesh, social-aware, cooperative, opportunistic, information-centric, and software-defined networking and routing, as well as information and communication technologies for development (ICT4D), digital services/tools for inclusion and empowerment, network deployment in challenged/underserved areas, (Industrial) Internet of Things (I/IoT), Smart Cities, digital farming, and Industry 4.0.
Dr Freitis holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Federal University of Goiás (UFG). He completed a post-doctorate in the Novel Enablers for Cloud Slicing (NECOS) project, in the area of slicing and orchestration of cloud resources. He is presently a full-time professor and serves as the Director of the EMBRAPII Unit at the Federal Institute of Goiás (IFG). His research interests are primarily in the fields of distributed systems and computer networks, with particular emphasis on Industry 4.0, energy efficiency, Smart Cities, slicing and orchestration of cloud resources, 6G networks, and mobile edge computing.
Antonio Oliveira-Jr received a Ph.D. degree in computer science from Minho, Aveiro, and Porto Universities (MAP-i Doctoral Programme in Computer Science), Portugal, in 2014. Since 2004, he has been a Professor with the Institute of Informatics (INF), Federal University of Goiás (UFG) and since 2019 he is an Invited Senior Scientist with Fraunhofer Portugal AICOS. His research interests include networking and communications, focusing on wireless networks, green communications, Internet of Things (IoT), intelligent networking (AI/ML), federated learning (FL), multi-access edge computing (MEC) and next generation networks (5G/B5G/6G).
