Dr. Kai Bin Liew is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences. He is also Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Industry at the University of Cyberjaya. He received his B. Pharm (Honors), M.Sc., and Ph.D. from Universiti Sains Malaysia. His main research areas are orally disintegrating tablets and films, bioequivalence studies, pharmaceutical formulations, taste masking, polymer science, HPLC analysis, nanoemulsion, and advanced drug delivery systems.
Dr. Swee-Sen Teo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at UCSI University. He holds a Ph.D. in Genetic Engineering & Molecular Biology, an MSc in Genetic Engineering & Molecular Biology, and a BSc (Hons) in Biology. Her main research areas include seaweed cultivation and omics research, sustainable wastewater treatment, and aquaponic systems using food waste.
Dr. Wan Mastura Shaik Mossadeq is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Universiti Putra Malaysia. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Universiti Putra Malaysia in 1998, a Master of Science from the University of Guelph in 2002, and a Doctor of Philosophy from the Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2013. Her main research interests include neuroscience, neurobiology, neurophysiology, sensor physiology, electrophysiology ethnopharmacology, ethnomedicine, natural product research, and pain research.
Prof. Dr. Sek Chuen Chow is a Professor of Biomedical Sciences at Monash University. He completed his Doctor of Medical Science degree in Immunology from the Karolinska Institute (Sweden) in 1990. He joined the Medical Research Council (MRC) Toxicology Unit at the University of Leicester (UK) as an MRC Research Fellow and later worked as a lecturer at the University of Nottingham (UK). In 2002, he returned to the MRC Toxicology Group as Group Leader of Immunotoxicology. In 2007, he joined the Faculty of Science, Monash University, Malaysia as an associate professor and also served as a part-time associate professor in the Department of Immunology, Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, Monash University. He became Associate Dean of the Faculty of Research in 2008 and was appointed Professor of Biomedical Sciences in 2011. He was also one of the founding members of the Malaysian Society of Toxicology (MySOT) and has served as Vice-President (2010) and President (2012) of MySOT. In 2014, he was appointed as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Institute of Research, Development and Innovation (IRDI), International Medical University Malaysia. His interest lies mainly in the understanding of how xenobiotics modulate the immune system, particularly T lymphocyte function.
Dr. Gabriel Akyirem Akowuah is an Associate Professor at the Monash University Malaysia. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honors) and a Diploma in Education in 1994 from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, and received his Master’s and Ph.D. in pharmaceutical chemistry from the University of Science Malaysia. He was appointed as an Academic Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Universiti UCSI Malaysia in January 2004. In addition, he was awarded University Sains Malaysia, Anugerah Sanggar Sanjung in 2005, Kategori Produk Penyelidikan, and won the Bronze Medal at ITEX 2005. His main research areas include the development and validation of analytical and bioanalytical methods, pharmacokinetic interactions, and inhibitory effects of bioactive compounds on nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells.

Dr. Yik-Ling Chew is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the UCSI University. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education, BSc (Honors), BSc (Biotechnology), and Ph.D. She is a Chartered Scientist as awarded by Royal Society of Biology, United Kingdom. She is a dedicated researcher with a passion for exploring the potential of tropical plants and medicinal herbs in curing various diseases. Her research interests include phytomedicine, phytochemistry, complementary and alternative medicines, and cosmeceutical product formulation and development. Her current focus is on studying the bioactivity of tropical plants and the development of functional cosmeceutical products.
