Dr. Tobili Y Sam-Yellowe is currently a Professor at Cleveland State University. She earned, from the University of Oklahoma, a BS in Microbiology (1979) and an MS in Microbiology (1981). She received her PhD in Microbiology from the University of Montana in 1986. She completed her postdoctoral studies in biochemical parasitology at Rockefeller University in 1990. Furthermore, she received an MPH in Public Health from Cleveland State University in 2009 and an MS in Applied Nutrition from Canisius University in 2023. Her research topics mainly include (1) Malaria immunology, cell biology, and molecular biology; (2) Colpodella species and Voromonas pontica cell biology; (3) Foodborne disease prevention and education, Mediterranean foods and cooking patterns.
