Dr. Peng Liu is an Associate Researcher at the Institute of Urban and Rural Mining, Changzhou University, China. He received his Ph.D. degree in Thermal Engineering from the East China University of Science and Technology in 2016. He is engaged in the research and development of organic waste pyrolysis and gasification to hydrogen, syngas, alcohol fuel synthesis, and functional carbon material development for soil amendment technology, and especially the basic research on the effect of coal and biomass carbon structure on conversion behaviour. He has undertaken more than 10 national and provincial research projects, including Subtopic of the National Key R&D Program of China and the Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published over 30 papers in authoritative journals, such as Applied Energy and Fuel, and has 10 Chinese national patents. He has been listed in Jiangsu Province's Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan as a vice president of Science and Technology, Changzhou City Young Scientific and technological talents support project.
Prof. Dr. Tingzhou Lei is a researcher at the Henan Key Lab of
Biomass Energy, Changzhou University, China. He received his Ph.D. degree from
Dalian University of Technology in 2006. He has been engaged in research and
engineering development of biomass energy for 30 years, especially biomass
liquid fuels, biomass briquette fuels, biomass co-firing power, biomass
gasification, pyrolysis, and combustion. He has chaired more than 40 national
and provincial research projects, including the thematic project and plan of
the Hi-tech Research and Development Program of China, the National Science and
Technology Support Program, the Natural Science Foundation of China, etc. Prof.
Lei has received several prizes, including one second prize in China National
Science and Technology, two first prizes and four second prizes in Provincial
Science and Technology. He has also received two international invention
patents and over 60 Chinese national patents. He enjoys the Special Allowance
of the State Council, has been listed in the National Millions of Talent
Projects, the Outstanding Contributions Young and Middle-aged Experts, the
National Outstanding Scientific and Technical Workers, Central Plains Scholars,
and the First Outstanding Professional and Technical Talents of Henan Province.
The research team of Prof. Lei has won “The First Henan Provincial Innovation
Medal”. In 2017, he was nominated by the academician of the Chinese Academy of
Engineering.
