Xiang Delong, born in April 2000 in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China, has established himself in the field of remote sensing and marine sciences. He completed his undergraduate studies at Shandong University of Science and Technology in Qingdao, majoring in Remote Sensing, and graduated in 2022 with dual bachelor's degrees in Remote Sensing and Business Administration. During this time, he gained practical experience through an internship at Huashijie Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. Currently, Xiang is pursuing a master's degree at Shanghai Ocean University, in collaboration with the East China Sea Fisheries Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences. He is part of the Fisheries Remote Sensing and Information Technology Laboratory, where he focuses on predicting fishing grounds, studying the spatiotemporal variations of these grounds, analyzing marine environments, and assessing fisheries resources. His research covers areas in the North Pacific, Southwest Atlantic, and Indian Ocean, involving species such as Illex argentinus, Scomber japonicus, and Sardinops melanostictus. Xiang is skilled in programming languages like MATLAB and R, as well as in using ArcGIS for spatial analysis and mapping.
