Mohd Johari Mohd Yusof is an Associate Professor at the
Department of Landscape Architecture, Faculty of Design and Architecture, UPM.
He is a Landscape Architect by discipline and training, and he is also involved
in GIS and Spatial Planning disciplines. He received his PhD and MSc in
Geographical Information Systems (GIS) from the University of Edinburgh,
Scotland. He completed his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA) and Diploma
in Town and Regional Planning at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Owing to the
multidisciplinary nature of his academic background, he has collaborated with
researchers from various disciplines. Johari’s research interests span urban
green space planning, green infrastructure, GIS analysis, and its methodology
and IT in-built environmental studies. Johari is currently the Dean of the faculty. He is also an Associate Editor of
Alam Cipta: an International Journal of Sustainable Tropical Design Research
and Practice, a research associate of both the Road and Safety Research Center
(RSRC) and Geospatial Information Science Research Center (GISRC), and a
professional member of the Institute of Geospatial and Remote Sensing Malaysia
(IGRSM).
