Dr. Mayavan Subramani received his bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the University of Madras in 2002. He earned, from the Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, a master’s degree in biotechnology (2004) and a PhD (2012). From 2012 to 2013, he served as a postdoctoral research associate at the ICGEB. From 2014 to 2015, he worked as a research fellow at the Lincoln University of Missouri. Now, he is a research scientist at Delaware State University. His research interests include plant and soil sciences, plant molecular genetics, epigenomics, agriculture, and natural sciences.

Dr. Antonette Todd received her Bachelor of Arts in biology, general, from the Cheyney University of Pennsylvania in 2004. She earned, from Delaware State University, a master’s degree in agriculture, agriculture operations, and related sciences (2008). She completed her PhD studies in plant sciences at the University of Delaware. From 2006 to 2008, she served as a researcher at the Delaware State University. From 2016 to 2023, she worked as a postdoctoral research associate. Now, she is an assistant professor at Delaware State University. Dr. Todd’s research interest is in plant pathology, specifically studying the interaction between the common bean and fungal rust.
