Prof. Dr. Domenica Lorusso is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario A Gemelli IRCCS. She graduated from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Rome in 1995, obtained a specialization in Gynecology and Obstetrics in 1999, and obtained a PhD in Gynecology and Obstetrics from the University of Parma. From 2003 to 2007 she held the role of head of medical treatments of gynecological neoplasms and clinical trials at the gynecological oncology unit of the "Centre for High Technology Research and Training in Biomedical Sciences - John Paul II" of Campobasso, the role of head of medical treatments of gynecological tumors and clinical trials at the gynecological oncology unit of the "Fondazione Policlinico Universitario A Gemelli IRCCS" in Rome (2007–2011), the role of head of medical treatments of gynecological tumors and clinical trials at the gynecological oncology unit of the "IRCCS National Cancer Institute Foundation" in Milan (2011–2018), director of the clinical research development operational unit at the "Fondazione Policlinico Universitario A Gemelli IRCCS" in Rome (2019–2023), and associate professor at the "Catholic University of the Sacred Heart" in Rome (2020–2023). Since 2024, has held the positions of full professor at the Humanitas University of Rozzano and director of the gynecology oncology operating unit of Humanitas San Pio.
Dr. Vanna Zanagnolo works as a Unit Director, as part of a team of experts for the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological tumors such as endometrial, ovarian, cervical, vulvar, and vaginal cancer, providing all patients with ultra-specialist management and multidisciplinary care, to guarantee the best possible care. She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Brescia with a mark of 110/110 cum laude and specialized in Gynecology and Obstetrics from the University of Brescia with a mark of 50/50 cum laude. Dr. Vanna Zanagnolo's career highlights include a research fellowship at the renowned Johns Hopkins University, where she conducted groundbreaking studies on reproductive health. She has received numerous awards and memberships in prestigious medical societies, including being the President of the Society of European Robotic Gynecological Surgery in 2023. Dr. Zanagnolo has published over 160 scientific articles, further showcasing her expertise and commitment to advancing the field of gynecological oncology.
Prof. Nicoletta Colombo is a Professor at the European Institute of Oncology, IRCCS. She graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan in 1980 and specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She carried out her first clinical research activities at the Service of Oncologic Gynecology at the Mangiagalli Clinic and later at the Hospital San Gerardo in Monza, involved in an intense collaboration at the Mario Negri Institute in studies on immunology and pharmacokinetics. After a period of training and clinical research at the Medical Oncology Unit at Charing Cross Hospital and Royal Marsden Hospital in London and at the Department of Immunology at the Dana-Farber Institute in Boston, she became Associate of Clinical Research at the Division of Medical Oncology of New York University for two years in 1985. She continues her clinical and research work in the field of gynecologic malignancies as an assistant and as associate chief at the third Obstetrics-Gynecology Clinic of the University of Milan. She has been working at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan since 1994. She has been principal investigator of several international clinical trials. Prof. Nicoletta Colombo is also the author of several publications in the field of gynecologic oncology, and a member of various professional societies such as the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the Society of Gynaecologic Oncologists (SGO) and the International Gynaecological Cancer Society (IGCS).
