Liqiang Zheng has been a professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine since 2020. Additionally, he currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Department of Women's and Children's Health at the School of Public Health. He also serves in many academic positions, including deputy director of the Third Special Committee on Neonatal Evidence-Based Medicine of the Neonatologist Branch of the Chinese Medical Association. He is a member of the Shanghai Health Science Expert Pool. He won second prize in the 2010 National Science and Technology Progress Award; second prize in the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award; and first prize in the Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, the Shenyang Science and Technology Revitalization Award, the 10th Liaoning Youth Science and Technology Award, and the Shenyang Municipal Youth Job Talent of 2015. He was a professor and doctoral supervisor at Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University. He worked as a visiting scholar at Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, USA (2016-2017), where he participated in the world-renowned Bogalusa Heart Study (BHS). His work focuses on research and teaching in clinical epidemiology and evidence-based medicine, with main research interests in the epidemiology of cardiovascular diseases, the epidemiology of neurocognitive disorders, perinatal epidemiology, and clinical research methodology.
