Prof. Sandeep Singh is a professor with the Department of Earth Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. He completed his Masters and PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Roorkee (now known as the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee) in the years 1987 and 1994, respectively. He has published more than 85 papers in various journals along with 7 book chapters and has authored/edited 13 books. He also served as Associate Editor of the Journal of Geological Society of India and is currently on the editorial board of Discover Minerals and the Journal of Virtual Explorer. His teaching subjects include igneous petrology, isotope geology, and Himalayan geology for undergraduate and postgraduate students. His research interests include Himalayan tectonics, Himalayan migmatites, Himalayan granitoids, geochronology, isotope geology, exhumation processes, Sr-isotopes in the water system, and the relationship between shear wave velocity and rock types.
Mr. Shashank Prabhamohan received his Integrated Masters of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee after a qualifying JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) and is now pursuing a PhD in Sulphur Isotopes from Universite Clermont Auvergne, France, and his current project focuses on the kinetic and equilibrium fractionation of sulphur.
Prof. Ian S. Williams is a Professor Emeritus at the Research School of Earth Sciences, Australian National University, Canberra, Australia. He has published more than 487 papers and written many books. His research interests include the micro-scale behavior of mineral isotopic systems under diverse geological conditions; the age, origin, and thermal history of Earth's crust with a particular emphasis on the early Earth, granite gneiss, polymetamorphic terranes, and sediment provenance; paleoclimate; and instrumentations and techniques for ion microprobe analysis of geological and biological minerals.
