Senior scientific Researcher (Biochemist) with more than 16
years’ experience in the field of pollution control (specifically in
ecotoxicology studies). PhD in Life science – Biology, University of Bucharest,
Faculty of Biology, Biochemistry Department, Romania. The PhD studies were focused
on ecotoxicological characterization of surfactants and their risk assessment on aquatic organisms. As a specialist in
ecotoxicological studies in Biotest Biological Analyses Laboratory of National Research and Development Institute for
Industrial Ecology ECOIND Bucharest, my
work followed the next topics: -
Ecotoxicological
assessment (biodegradability and acute, sub-acute and chronic aquatic
toxicology on fish, algae, crustacean, plants and bacteria) for
various types of chemicals and environmental polluted samples.-
Aquatic risk
assessment - direct and complementary risks.- Laboratory and field bioaccumulation studies.- Biochemical and histopathological
investigations in contaminated organisms for oxidative stress evaluation.
- Managerial activities in 11 projects as project manager / project responsible and team member in > 40 national and international projects.
Scientific contribution (> 70 published papers; >35 ISI papers); three book chapters; Web of Science h-index 10); Associate
editor at RJEEC journal, member of
scientific works approval committee in ECOIND, Laboratory Quality and Environmental Manager.
