Dr. Sanjun Zhi is a professor at Huaiyin Normal University in Jiangsu, China. He received his MS degree from Suzhou University in 2000, and his PhD degree in 2008 from Nanjing University under the supervision of Prof. Dr Yi Pan. He was a visiting scholar in Prof. Wei Zhang’s lab at the University of Massachusetts Boston from 2013-2014. His research is focused on the development of synthetic methods for the preparation of heterocyclic compounds.
Dr. Xiaoming Ma is an associate professor at Changzhou University in Jiangsu, China. He received his B.Sc. degree in 2007 and his Ph.D. degree in 2013 under the supervision of Profs. Ming Lu and Bindong Li, both from Nanjing University of Science and Technology. He was a visiting scholar in Prof. Wei Zhang’s lab at the University of Massachusetts Boston from 2017-2018. His current research interest is in green organic synthesis, radical chemistry, and heterocyclic chemistry.
Dr. Wei Zhang is a Professor and the Director of the Center for Green Chemistry at the University of Massachusetts Boston. He received his PhD and did post-doctoral research at the University of Pittsburgh
with Prof. Paul Dowd. His previous positions include Senior Chemist at DuPont and Director at Fluorous Technologies, Inc. His research is in the areas of fluorous chemistry, organocatalysis, free radical chemistry, medicinal chemistry, and green synthesis. He has co-authored over 250 papers including three Chem. Rev. articles on the topics of free radicals and fluorous chemistry, and two books on green synthesis
