Elissaveta Zvetkova is an Associate Professor at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) and a member of the Bulgarian Society of Biorheology, Sofia, Bulgaria. She received her PhD from the Institute of Experimental Morphology and Anthropology with Museum at BAS in 1976. Her fields of research include biomechanics/biorheology of blood and blood cells, cell biology—histology, cytology, cytochemistry/fluorescence cytochemistry; bone marrow—marrow cell proliferation and differentiation, hematopoietic cell growth factors; and research in the field of cancer and leukemia—neoplastic cell cultivation studies in vitro.
Ivan Mirchev Ivanov was born on June 8, 1977, in the city of Stara Zagora. He completed secondary education in 1996 in the town of Kazanluk (PMG “Nikola Obreshkov”). He completed his "Engineering Physics" at CU St. Kliment Ohridski in 2002. In 2008, he completed his doctoral degree and defended his PhD at the Institute of Mechanics – BAN. Dr. Ivanov has a background in the field of biorheology and hemorheological profile of athletes. He is a teacher at the National Sports Academy "Vassil Levsky" (Department of Anatomy and Biomechanics). His scientific work includes a significant number of scientific articles and reviews—cited internationally—and successful participation in national and international scientific forums and projects.He is an active member of the Bulgarian Society for Biorheology. In recent years, Dr. Ivanov has developed the biomechanical investigations in the Anatomy and Biomechanics Department at NSA "Vassil Levski".
Nadia Antonova currently works as a Professor at the Institute of Mechanics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS), Sofia, Bulgaria. She received her MSc in fluid mechanics from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” in 1978 and a PhD in biomechanics from BAS in 1985. Her fields of research include biomechanics, biorheology, hemorheology, biofluid mechanics, electrorheology, thin biofluid liquid films, and clinical applications.
