Xinming Tang graduated from Shandong Agricultural University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2012 and completed his Ph.D. at China Agricultural University (2012–2018), studying Eimeria immunology and its application as vaccine vectors. During his graduate work, he improved the reverse genetic manipulation platform for Eimeria. He completed his postdoctoral research (2018–2020) at the Institute of Animal Sciences, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS). He is now a part of the research backbone of the Biosecurity and Public Health Prevention and Control Technology Innovation Team of CAAS. He is currently investigating the regulatory mechanisms of the different developmental stages of Eimeria and Toxoplasma and their potential application for developing novel vaccines. His research has been supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Beijing Natural Science Foundation, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and the Youth Innovation Program of CAAS.
