Boon-Chong Seet received his Ph.D. degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2005. Upon graduation, he joined the Singapore–Massachusetts Institute of Technology Alliance (SMA) programme as a Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore. Since 2007, he has been with the Auckland University of Technology, where he is currently a full professor and heads the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE). His research activities span the fields of information and communication technologies (ICT), including underwater mobile communication using optical wireless technology.
