Prof. Dr. Carlo Pozzilli has been a Full Professor in the Department of Human Neurosciences, Sapienza University since 2006. He received his Medical Degree from the Sapienza University of Rome (Rome, Italy) in 1979 and his PhD degree in Neurosciences from the Sapienza University of Rome in 1986. He has been the Founding Chairman of the Multiple Sclerosis Center at the University Hospital Sant’Andrea in Rome since 2002. He has carried out and continues to carry out research in the Neurological, Neuroimmunological, Neuroradiological, Neuropsychological, Neuroepidemiological, and Neurorehabilitation fields. He has 453 publications with 32561 citations and an h-index of 97 (Google Scholar, 9 April 2024). His main research areas are therapeutic advances in demyelinating diseases, “Neuroimaging” studies using advanced technologies (PET, MRI), epidemiological, prognostic, and neuropsychological correlation, and therapeutic trials in the field of Multiple Sclerosis.
