Anastasia Nika received her PhD in Chemistry from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, in 2020. She worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2020–2022). Her research topics mainly include synthesis and characterization of polymeric materials, top-down and bottom-up lithography, chemocapacitors, biosensors, and 3D printing. Krimpenis is Associate Professor specialized in CNC machine tool programming and automation in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Hellenic Mediterranean University in Crete, Greece. He received his Integrated Masters and PhD from the School of Mechanical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens, Greece in 2000 and 2009, respectively. He has published over 35 peer-reviewed articles in journals, books and conference proceedings in the fields of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies and Systems and their optimization by the use of Artificial Intelligence algorithms. His main research interests lie in combined Additive and Subtractive Manufacturing processes, their optimization and the respective machinery that perform these processes; e.g., high-quality, complex parts in limited spaces for high-added value industrial sectors.
