Dr. Asgerally T. Fazleabas, Ph.D. received his B.S. degree from California State University, Fresno and his Ph.D. in Reproductive Physiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Following his post-doctoral training in Reproductive Biology/Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Florida in Gainesville, he joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Illinois in Chicago, where he held the rank of Professor and Director of Women's Health and Reproduction until October 2009. He is currently Professor and Associate Chair of Research in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology, Director of the Center for Women's Health Research and Co-Director of the Reproductive and Developmental Sciences Program at Michigan State University. His research areas include endometriosis, adenomyosis and leiomyomas, uterine biology, and maternal–fetal interactions.
