Dr. Alina Maria Smaranda is an Assistant Professor at the Sports Medicine Discipline, Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy. She is currently a PhD student in Sports Cardiology at the same university. Dr. Smaranda has been a sports medicine physician since 2022 and works with both the University and the National Institute of Sports Medicine. She is an active member of the Romanian Society of Sports Medicine, contributing significantly to the advancement of sports medicine practices. She has been active at the most important conferences in the field, presenting papers and posters that share her research and findings. Dr. Smaranda's research interests include cardiovascular health in athletes, exercise biochemistry, anti-doping policies and sports nutrition.
