Dr. Yolanda Sanz holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacy and is a Professor at the National
Research Council (CSIC) at the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology
(IATA) in Valencia, Spain. She is the principal investigator of the Research
Unit on Microbial Ecology, Nutrition, and Health at IATA-CSIC. Her scientific
field of interest is the role of the human microbiota in health and disease,
which affects the immune and neuroendocrine systems. She has
coordinated large EU projects on the human microbiome (MyNewGut,
ClimbOut) and is the PI of many others (EarlyCause, MicrobiomeSupport, CIRCLES, TRIBIIOME).
