Meng Gao received his PhD in Applied Mathematics from Lanzhou University in 2008. He worked as an Associate Professor at Yantai Institute of Coastal Zone Research (2009–2021). In 2021, he moved to Yantai University and was promoted to full-time professor. His research topics mainly include statistical modeling of climate time series and geophysical data mining.
